ISO/IEC 20000 Certification

Transition Statement Regarding Arrangements for the Implementation of ISO / IEC 20000

Full Story

The issuing of the International Service Management standard ISO/IEC 20000 has resulted in the need for the IT Service Management Forum (itSMF) to issue a Transition Statement with regard to its BS 15000 Certification Scheme.  The ISO/IEC 20000 Service Management standard replaces the edition of the BS 15000 standard.  The intention of this document is to clarify with the certification bodies and their clients the arrangements that must be met in order to ensure a smooth and consistent transfer of certification within this area.  It applies to all existing and future certifications within this area of Service Management.

This document also explains the migration of the scheme from a scheme wholly managed by itSMF to a scheme jointly managed by the itSMF and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
